Buying Tickets

How can I purchase US Open tickets?

Can I buy tickets from any ticketing website?

Ticketmaster is the only authorized seller for US Open tickets online. The USTA has partnered with the US Open Ticket Exchange by Ticketmaster, to serve as the exclusive resale partner for the US Open. US Open patrons now have the opportunity to resell their unused tickets in a secured fan-to-fan environment, sanctioned by the USTA. There are many websites that may look very legitimate, but they are not affiliated in any way with the USTA.

What are the different types of Day Session tickets?

  • Arthur Ashe Stadium - (Reserved Seating) - Provides an assigned seat in the main stadium along with first-come, first-served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and all of the field courts.
  • Louis Armstrong Stadium (Reserved Seating) - Provides an assigned seat in Louis Armstrong Stadium, along with first-come, first-served access to the Grandstand and all of the field courts. Louis Armstrong tickets are only sold for the first nine days of the tournament.
  • Grandstand Stadium (Reserved Seating) - Provides an assigned seat in the Grandstand Stadium, along with first-come, first-served access to all of the field courts. Grandstand tickets are only sold for the first eight days of the tournament.
  • Grounds Admission (General Admission) - Provides first-come, first-served access to Louis Armstrong Stadium, the Grandstand and all of the field courts. Grounds Admissions are only sold for the first eight days of the tournament.

What are the different types of Evening Session tickets?

There is only one type of Evening Session ticket.

 

  • Arthur Ashe Stadium (Reserved Seating) - Provides an assigned seat in the main stadium for any matches scheduled to take place in Arthur Ashe Stadium on a given evening.

Are multi-session ticket plans offered?

Yes, we offer US Open Full Series Subscriptions and Mini-Plans that include benefits only available to subscribers. A Full Series Subscription includes tickets to the full two weeks of the US Open. Mini-Plans are combinations of various sessions for the US Open. Each plan is different in that they each cover a different number of day and/or evening sessions. You will be automatically invoiced for the same seat(s) the following year and opt to keep the same seat(s) for the duration of your plan or even request an opportunity to upgrade. In addition, as a subscriber, you will have the ability to manage your tickets online and post tickets for sale for sessions that you are unable to attend. Please click here for more information

How can I purchase Holiday or Finals weekend tickets?

Each year, the US Open continues to grow in popularity, and demand for tickets increases. Tickets to certain sessions can sell out very soon after they go on sale. In order to obtain seats to the US Open for the most desirable sessions, you may opt to become a Full Series Subscriber. By remaining a Full Series Subscriber, you may gain the opportunity of yearly renewals to upgrade your seat. Generally, all first-year Full Series Subscribers start in the Promenade Level of Arthur Ashe Stadium within sections 301-340.Generally, all first-year Full Series Subscribers start in the Promenade Level of Arthur Ashe Stadium within sections 301-340. How can I purchse Courtside or Loge seats in Arthur Ashe Stadium?

Hospitality packages are offered with premium seating (reserved courtside or loge, subject to availability) as well. Please click here for more information.

In addition, the USTA has partnered with the US Open Ticket Exchange by Ticketmaster, to serve as the exclusive resale partner for the US Open. What is the minimum age for a child to require a ticket?

Children 24 months and older require a full-price ticket.

How do I obtain tickets for people with disabilities?

The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is wheelchair accessible, with ramps, elevators and escalators, and offers wheelchair accessible seating in two levels of Arthur Ashe Stadium and one level of Louis Armstrong Stadium, all subject to availability. If you need assistance of any kind, please contact US Open Ticket Office Client Services at 718-760-6363.

Do you offer group discounts or packages?

A group is 25 or more tickets for a single session during the US Open. Please visit the Tickets section on www.usopen.org and click under the Group Sales section, or call the US Open Ticket Office Client Services number at 718-760-6363 and ask for Group Sales.

Are military, senior or student discounts offered?

There are no military, senior or student discounts available.

Is there a limit to how many tickets I can buy?

Ticket sales limits are in place to ensure that all of our customers can receive equal access to US Open tickets.

For individual sessions, customers may order up to the following at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Box Office or through Ticketmaster:

  • Eight (8) Arthur Ashe Stadium tickets for any individual day session
  • Sixteen (16) Arthur Ashe Stadium day session tickets in total
  • Eight (8) Arthur Ashe Stadium tickets for any individual night session
  • Sixteen (16) Arthur Ashe Stadium night session tickets in total
  • Eight (8) Louis Armstrong Stadium tickets per session
  • Sixteen (16) Louis Armstrong Stadium tickets in total
  • Eight (8) Grounds Admission tickets per session
  • Sixteen (16) Grounds Admission tickets in total

Can I get into Arthur Ashe Stadium with a Grounds Admission ticket?

No, the only ticket that permits access into Arthur Ashe Stadium is an Arthur Ashe Stadium reserved ticket.

Does Ticketmaster ship internationally?

Fans traveling from outside the United States for the US Open who purchase their tickets from Ticketmaster have the following delivery options.

  • Mobile ticket delivery – unique mobile barcode is presented on mobile device (you may not present an electronic version of a TicketFast PDF file). Log into your Ticketmaster account, click on an event and look for the mobile icon.
  • TicketFast delivery – ticket holder must print their tickets on paper prior to visiting the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
  • Will Call – ticket holder must present photo identification and the credit card they used to purchase the tickets. Will Call is located at the East Gate Ticket Office of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, right next to Parking Lot B. Please click here for tournament hours.

Mobile Ticketing

What is Mobile Entry?

Mobile Entry means your US Open ticket is accessed on your phone.  That means that you won’t need to print and remember to bring tickets to get into the grounds – no more worries about leaving your ticket at home or the office.  Mobile tickets enable you to manage, view, scan, transfer and sell your tickets with the device that’s always with you. Your phone is always in your pocket, your purse or your hand, and doesn’t require a printer or remembering to grab your tickets before you go.

I’m a full series subscriber.  Will I still receive paper tickets?

Yes.  All full series subscribers and suite holders will still receive paper tickets, unless they’ve opted to manage their tickets online instead.

I have printed full series tickets – can I still manage my tickets online?

Yes!  All of our Full Series Subscribers have the ability to manage their tickets through US Open Account Manager.  If you do choose to transfer or sell your tickets for a session, your original, printed ticket for that session will be deactivated.

What if I want to give tickets to friends/family/clients ahead of time?

If you are a full series subscriber, you may either deliver them hard stock tickets, or you may transfer their seats to them prior to the session by logging onto your account at US Open Account Manager.

Can I use a screenshot of my ticket?

No, screenshots of tickets will not be accepted. Mobile tickets must be presented within the app, the mobile website, or within your phone’s “wallet” at the US Open.  Copies of barcodes presented through third-party applications, screenshots or print outs will not be accepted at the stadium.

What if I lose connectivity / can’t connect to my account at the gates?

Since cellular connectivity may experience peaks at the US Open, we encourage you to download your tickets to your mobile device before heading to the US Open. If you have an iPhone, you can store your tickets in your Apple Wallet. If your tickets are on a mobile web browser, avoid clearing out your browser history until after the event.

Can I have multiple tickets on a single phone?

Yes. You will swipe through each ticket to scan upon entry with your party.  Alternatively, you can transfer each ticket to your attendees prior to entering the gates.

What if my entire party isn’t with me when I enter the gates at the US Open?

 You can transfer their ticket to them individually via ticket transfer.

Does the person I send the tickets to need an account?

Yes. They’ll need to sign into their Ticketmaster account, or they will create one in the acceptance process.

Can Full Series Subscribers transfer tickets after matches have started?

Yes. However, selling tickets is not allowed after play has begun.

Can I still use PDF tickets?

No, PDF tickets will no longer be accepted at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

What if my browser tells me “Cookies Required”?

Once the webpage is open, press the button with the two small boxes in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.  Then uncheck the “Private” button, and you will be able to access your tickets.

Can I also access my US Open tickets online?

Yes, using the US Open Account Manager, you can access your tickets online as you always have.

General Tickets Information

When do gates open for Day and Evening Sessions?

Generally the gate entry time is one hour prior to the start of the session. Typically, the earliest you can enter the grounds with a day session ticket is at 9:30 a.m. Day session ticket holders must enter the grounds before 6:00 p.m. The earliest you can enter the grounds with an evening session ticket is 6:00 p.m. Please note that finals weekend times may differ and all sessions and gate entry times are subject to change. Please refer to the US Open schedule on www.usopen.org for up to date match times.

How many matches are played in Arthur Ashe Stadium during a given session?

The schedule for each day's matches is posted on www.usopen.org the night before they occur. Traditionally during the Day Session, there are three matches played in Arthur Ashe Stadium. During the evening, there are typically two matches played in Arthur Ashe Stadium. This is subject to both weather and schedule changes. Ultimately, the number of matches is determined by the Referee's Office and is subject to change at any time.

When do Evening sessions end?

Tennis is unique from most other sports and entertainment events in that the length of a match can vary greatly depending on play. The night session ends officially after the evening matches conclude (traditionally around 10 or 11 p.m.).

Are there any Grounds Admission tickets released on the day of the event?

Each day that Grounds Admission tickets are sold, there will be a LIMITED number of Grounds Admission tickets held over to be sold on the day of the event. The number does vary, and it does depends on the number of tickets sold in advance, and is subject to availability. Ultimately, the number of Grounds Admission tickets sold is determined at the discretion of the Facility Manager.

Are on-site ticket upgrades offered?

Ticket holders may upgrade their tickets at the Ticket Upgrade Windows for an additional cost. All available seats are released to the Upgrade Windows the day of the session. Located inside the East Gate adjacent to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center Box Office, the Upgrade Windows are generally open from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. daily. Upgrades are subject to availability. Hours of operation may vary over finals weekend and are subject to change

Can I leave a ticket to be picked up at a will call window?

Due to overwhelming volume, the East Gate Will Call window does not accommodate public will call (including box holders, series and all ticket plan holders) or individual ticket purchasers. Will call drop off tickets will ONLY be accepted from USTA credentialed staff, such as:

 

  • All members of the USTA committees
  • Sponsors and corporate hospitality clients
  • Members of the media, umpires and staff

To watch live, you must have the WatchESPN app installed on your device and the ability to login with your cable provider. 

How do I opt in to receive notifications on my app?

When you first open the app, you should have been prompted to receive notifications from the app. If you selected the yes option, you're all set. To change your notification settings to receive alerts from the US Open, follow the steps listed below based on your device. For iPhone: go into your phone settings, select Notifications and find the 2015 US Open app, click it and turn on "Allow Notifications". For Android: go into the Inbox section in the app, find the three dots on the top right corner of your screen and hit "Alert Settings" then turn on "Location-based Alerts".

What is Open Access?

Open Access gives you streamlined access to various activation points around the grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Once you register, you will receive a customized QR code that you can scan at each location to participate in activities ranging from customized photo opportunities to interactive games, documenting your whole US Open experience onto your own personal webpage.
